is recruiting an Access to Finance / Supply Chain Finance Specialist for a short-term assignment to develop and support implementation of a financing product targeting the pharmaceutical supply chain.
The activity is conducted under the USAID-funded Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus project () in Senegal.
The selected individual will work in collaboration with team members responsible for other project activities.
Evaluate Senegalese pharmaceutical supply chain and identify financing needs of stakeholders;
Leverage SHOPS Plus A2F experience and resources to develop financing solution / instrument that addresses identified needs within supply chain;
Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders;
Provide technical assistance to partner financial institution(s) in implementation of financing solution;
Provide technical assistance to pharmaceutical partners (sector associations, pharmaceutical suppliers, pharmacies, other) in implementation of financing solution;
Assist partners in identifying potential clients among the target groups and building a pipeline of loan deals;
Act as a liaison officer and expert to target enterprises seeking financing;
Identify and collaborate with professional associations and networks to further program aims;
Organize strategic consultative meetings between all partners to build knowledge and relationships.
Must be a citizen or resident of Senegal;
Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the Senegalese financial sector;
Knowledge and understanding of the business needs and challenges faced by Senegalese Small and Medium Enterprises;
Experience / understanding of supply chain networks;
Experience in supply chain finance preferred;
Outstanding project management skills;
Experience working with USAID or other international donors preferred;
Familiarity with pharmaceutical sector preferred;
Fluency in French and English.
